Description

The play is called "Feather."

The handle is of oval section, with the technique of awl weaven with 100 tientos of colt (narrow strings), dyed with walnut shell, and the weft with "Retama´s" flower (shrub that grows in this area of ).

It is a design created exclusively to accompany the forging pattern of the Damascus leaf. The terminals are 900 Silver, very sober, accompanying the lines of handle and leaf.

For the sheath, I selected a very dark Hereford leather (roasted), looking for little contrast with the seams, which are different types of embroidery  made with foal strings dyed with walnut, and always following, also with the seams the "Feather" motif, until finishing with a silver  toe cap.

(Goldsmith: Pedro Ceriani)

The blade is a "magic" that Pablo Bugallo forged, especially for this piece in damascus steel, "Feather" pattern (180 layers), 17 cm long at the button.

Finally, the box is a work by Jorge Virasoro (son), made of Radal wood, with birch detail, with the perfect technique and wood handling, which characterizes the Virasoro´s signature.

Total length of the piece: 31.5 cm
